Saving the Planet - One Bag at a Time Each year, in honor of Earth Day, the students of Our Lady of Refuge School in Long Beach plant a tree. During the Friday morning prayer service, students, faculty, parents and guests were reminded of the importance of planting trees, bettering the environment and taking care of our fragile planet. Our Lady of Refuge School, accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and by the Western Catholic Education Association, is located in Long Beach, California. Founded in 1953, it has served the community of East Long Beach for over 50 years.  The administration and faculty strive to create an atmosphere that is conducive to the maximum development of the students' spiritual, intellectual, moral, aesthetic and physical potential. This enables the students to integrate Christian principles, values and attitudes that will help them to live and to influence others to live according to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. You may contact us with any questions you may have. Summer School Office Hours. The school office will be open from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. until July 3rd. The office will be closed throughout the rest of the month of July and will open again on August 4th. Also note: The office will close at noon on Friday, June 27th. |
